Whiteghyll make bespoke display products are now seeking motivated Semi Skilled Joiners to join our joinery team. The ideal candidates will possess foundational skills in carpentry and joinery, with the ability to assist on a variety of projects. This role offers the opportunity to develop further technical expertise, including fabrication, assembly, and utilisation of hand and power tools. The successful applicant will contribute to high-quality craftsmanship on diverse jobs, ensuring safety and efficiency at all times.Responsibilities
- Assisting with fabrication and assembly of wooden structures and components
- Operating hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
- Supporting carpentry and joinery tasks, including cutting, fitting, and fixing materials
- Performing heavy lifting and manoeuvring materials on-site
- Ensuring work areas are kept clean and organised to maintain safety standards
- Collaborating with team members to complete projects within designated timeframes
- Adhering to health and safety regulations at all times during site operations
Qualifications
- Basic experience in carpentry, joinery or related trades is desirable;
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and general construction equipment
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail
- Willingness to learn new skills
- Physical fitness suitable for manual labour tasks on the factory floor
- Valid UK driving licence is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Applicants should demonstrate a proactive attitude towards learning and teamwork.
Pay: £13.00-£13.75 per hour
