Access Control Engineer
We're looking for an experienced Access Control Engineer to join our growing team.
This is a hands-on role for someone who can work independently, take ownership of jobs, and deliver high-quality installations and maintenance without constant supervision.
Responsibilities
- Installation, servicing, and maintenance of access control systems.
- Installation and fault finding on magnetic locks (maglocks), electric strikes, and locking hardware.
- Installation and commissioning of door entry and intercom systems.
- Programming and installation of keypads, proximity readers, fobs, and access credentials.
- Diagnosing and repairing faults on existing systems.
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance and reactive call-outs.
- Completing work to a high standard while maintaining excellent customer service.
Requirements
- Proven experience working with access control systems.
- Strong knowledge of maglocks, door entry systems, intercoms, keypads, readers, and associated hardware.
- Confident fault-finding and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage jobs from start to finish.
- Self-motivated with excellent attention to detail.
- Full UK driving licence.
Desirable
- Experience with CCTV and intruder alarm systems.
- Experience with network/IP-based access control systems.
