Job Overview
We need a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Hand/Cook to join our team. This role involves food preparation, cooking, and maintaining high standards of food safety and cleanliness in a busy kitchen environment. The successful candidate will play a vital part in ensuring the smooth operation of our culinary services, supporting the delivery of quality meals to our customers. Prior kitchen or restaurant experience is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided for the right candidate.
Duties
- Assist with food preparation, including chopping, peeling, and assembling ingredients
- Cook and serve meals according to established recipes and standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing dishes and sanitising surfaces
- Support with inventory management and stock rotation
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards
- Assist with serving food to customers or guests as required
- Support team members during busy service periods to ensure timely meal delivery
Requirements
- Previous experience in a kitchen, or catering environment is advantageous but not mandatory
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods
- Understanding of food safety standards and hygiene practices
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- Willingness to learn new skills and work as part of a team
- Flexibility to work shifts as required, including weekends if necessary

Pay: £13.00-£16.00 per hour
