Our client, a well-established family-run automotive business with a heritage dating back to the early 1900s, is seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician to join their dedicated team in Ashford, Kent. Duties:
- Diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a diverse range of vehicles, including electric and hybrid models
- Conducting complex engine repairs and electrical system diagnostics
- Utilizing computerised diagnostic tools and modern equipment in a paperless working environment
- Assisting with recovery, collection, and delivery tasks when required
- Upholding high standards of quality and customer service
- Collaborating with team members and supporting fellow technicians in daily operations
Requirements:
- Proven experience in vehicle repairs, diagnostics, or electrical systems
- NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent recognised qualifications
- Knowledge of hybrid and electric vehicle systems is highly desirable
- Basic electrical knowledge and strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively within a team, demonstrating good communication skills
- Willingness to develop further skills through manufacturer-led training
- Computer literacy, including experience with diagnostic tools and electronic documentation
