Overview
As the Bookings Manager, you will lead our holiday sales team and be responsible for maximising revenue from holiday accommodation and touring pitches. You will drive sales and occupancy performance, develop revenue-management strategies, forecast and monitor results, and ensure the commercial success of the holiday sales revenue at all Coastfields parks. You’ll act as the main point of contact for the company’s booking agents and will work closely with marketing, operations, and guest services to deliver an outstanding guest experience while achieving financial targets.
Key Responsibilities
● Lead, motivate and manage the holiday sales team (holiday accommodation bookings, touring pitches, group stays) to meet and exceed sales, occupancy and revenue targets.
● Develop and implement a revenue strategy and pricing model for holiday accommodation and touring pitches, including dynamic pricing, discounting, length-of-stay rules, and yield management.
● Act as the main point of contact for the Company's booking agents to maximise bookings and revenue from every agent.
● Monitor and optimise occupancy and average nightly or weekly rate (or per-pitch rate) across all holiday and touring pitches.
● Forecast revenue, occupancy and profit; produce weekly/monthly reports and present insights and action plans to the Senior Management Team.
● Analyse market trends, competitor performance, demand patterns, peak/shoulder/off-season behaviour, and identify opportunities to maximise yield and reduce vacancy.
● Work collaboratively with the marketing team to plan and execute campaigns, promotions, special offers, and packages (e.g., family breaks, touring specials, group stays) to drive demand.
● Manage and refine booking systems to ensure data integrity and ease of reporting.
● Set sales targets, KPIs and performance metrics for the team; conduct coaching, training and performance reviews.
● Ensure excellent guest conversion, customer journey (from enquiry through booking to arrival) and maximise upsell opportunities (e.g. extras, add-ons, upgrades,, longer stays).
● Work with operations/housekeeping/maintenance to ensure accommodation stock and touring areas are maintained, presented and ready for sale, minimising downtime and maximising availability.
● Liaise with finance to set budgets, monitor income and costs, understand margins, and ensure commercial performance.
● Identify and manage risk around revenue leakage, cancellations, no-shows, under-utilisation of stock.
● Travel occasionally and be flexible in working days and hours during high-demand periods, events, and holiday seasons.
Person Specification
Essential:
● Proven experience in a similar hospitality, tourism or holiday-park environment.
● Strong leadership and team-management skills, with experience in setting targets, coaching and driving performance.
● Commercial acumen with experience of pricing, revenue management, forecasting and yield optimisation.
● Excellent analytical skills, comfortable working with data, spreadsheets, reporting tools and interpreting trends.
● Outstanding communication skills (verbal and written), able to influence across functions.
● Results-driven mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities, work under pressure and the flexibility to respond to seasonal demand.
● Proficient IT skills (booking systems, Excel, reporting tools).
● Full, clean driving licence.
Desirable:
● Knowledge of ‘Elite Dynamics’ booking and revenue-management software, dynamic pricing tools.
● Understanding of holiday/touring guest behaviour, marketing channels, and digital campaigns.
● Familiarity with the UK holiday/tourism regulatory environment (e.g., licensing, holiday compliance).
