Location: Port Talbot Civic Centre / Hybrid Working
Are you a strategic leader with a passion for innovation, transformation and driving continuous improvement?
We are looking for an ambitious and forward-thinking individual who will provide strategic leadership for the Council's Innovation and Continuous Improvement Programme, ensuring the successful delivery of service improvements, enhanced customer experience, financial sustainability and organisational transformation.
You will:
- Lead complex, cross-council transformation and improvement programmes.
- Drive service redesign, innovation and organisational development initiatives.
- Champion a One Council approach, embedding creativity, continuous improvement and innovation across all services.
- Work closely with Corporate Leadership Teams, elected members, trade unions, schools and external partners.
- Lead and develop a high-performing Innovation and Continuous Improvement Team.
We are looking for an exceptional leader who has:
- Significant senior management experience operating at Accountable Manager level or equivalent.
- A proven track record of leading innovation, transformation and continuous improvement programmes.
- Experience of managing people, budgets and organisational resources.
- Strong project and programme management expertise.
- The ability to influence, engage and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
- Excellent communication, leadership and strategic planning skills.
- A degree-level qualification (or equivalent experience) and a relevant professional qualification.
