Carryduff Building Supplies Ltd is a family company established over 40 years ago. We are a building supply company also involved in Readymix concrete, precast concrete production, concrete block production and various other items.
We are seeking a dedicated Production Operator to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining concrete block production and equipment, ensuring quality standards are met, and supporting the production process. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop technical skills within a dynamic industrial environment. Duties
- Operating forklift truck with concrete skip and block grab. A forklift license is essential
- Operating block and strapping machinery equipment safely and efficiently
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment to identify any faults or irregularities
- Use hand tools and power tools to assemble, repair, or maintain machinery and components
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area to uphold safety standards
- Follow health and safety protocols at all times, reporting any hazards or concerns promptly
- Document production data accurately for quality control purposes
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a similar role would be an advantage
- Mechanical knowledge is desirable to understand machinery
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Good attention to detail
- Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to changing production needs
