Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Weighbridge Operator to join our dynamic logistics team. Duties
- Operate the weighbridge equipment to accurately measure vehicle weights during arrival and departure.
- Verify shipment details, ensuring proper documentation for shipping and receiving processes.
- Assist with loading and unloading materials, utilizing forklifts and other mechanical tools as needed.
- Coordinate with warehouse staff to facilitate stock picking, packing, and inventory management.
- Conduct routine inspections of the weighbridge area to ensure safety protocols are followed.
- Support shipping and receiving activities by managing vehicle movement and documentation flow.
Requirements
- Proven experience in warehouse operations or logistics environments, with a focus on materials handling.
- Mechanical knowledge related to forklift operation and general equipment maintenance.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during loading/unloading tasks.
- Construction or industrial experience is a plus, demonstrating adaptability in physically demanding settings.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent record-keeping skills for accurate data entry.
- Valid forklift certification is preferred; prior experience operating forklifts is essential.
