St Marys is a Catholic mixed form entry school (age 4-11) with a Section 27 Nursery under the trusteeship of the Archdiocese of Liverpool. St Marys is a thriving school situated in the rural area of Scarisbrick in between Ormskirk and Southport. It embodies the Catholic faith and way of life in everything it does and is a happy, friendly school. We pride ourselves on our successes in all aspects of school life both in our work and in our play. We are seeking to appoint a dedicated and highly organised School Business Support Officer to join our friendly and committed team.
Working Hours
The post is for 25 hours per week, 10.00am-3.00pm, Monday to Friday
The post is term time only. The salary quoted is full-time equivalent and will be paid on a pro-rata basis.

Essential Qualifications
GCSE Maths & English Grade C/4 or above
Desirable Qualifications
- Business and administration qualification (NVQ and above)
- CSBM (Certificate of School Business Management)
Financial qualification (AAT Level 2/3 or equivalent experience)

Essential Experience
- Experience in working in a school environment
- Experience in working in an office environment
- Experience in schools financial systems i.e., SIMs
- Experience with on-line payment systems ie Parentpay
- Experience of Microsoft IT software packages
Budget monitoring and financial reporting

Desirable Experience
- Working with senior leaders/governors/ LA Finance officers
Experience of ensuring the schools Health and Safety policies and procedures are effective or commitment to complete training to do so.
