The Role
As a Therapeutic Support Worker, you will help create an environment where children feel safe, respected and able to thrive. You will work alongside a dedicated team to provide consistent, therapeutic care while supporting colleagues, leading by example and helping to maintain the highest standards within the home. Every day is different, but your role will always centre around building positive relationships, promoting emotional wellbeing and helping children achieve outcomes they can be proud of.
What You Will Be Doing
- Building meaningful, therapeutic relationships with children and young people.
- Providing consistent, nurturing care within a safe home environment.
- Supporting children to develop independence, confidence and life skills.
- Promoting education, health and positive experiences.
- Working collaboratively with families and professionals.
- Maintaining high-quality records that reflect children's progress.
- Safeguarding children and advocating for their individual needs.
What We Are Looking For
It would be desirable if you already have experience working within children's residential care and understand the importance of providing consistent, relationship-led support. However, more importantly we are looking for people

- Full UK Driving Licence required from day 1
- Willingness to work to a rolling rota, including sleep-ins
- Commitment to safeguarding and therapeutic practice
- Willingness to learn and work towards Level 3 or 4 Diploma in Residential Childcare (compulsory)
Recruitment process
All applicants will be required to:
- Attend an interview
- Complete an enhanced DBS (including barred list)
- Register to the DBS Update Service
- Provide full employment history and references
- Complete comprehensive safer recruitment checks
- Provide original overseas police certificate (no copies) where necessary
- Attend a mandatory paid 2 weeks induction programme
