Door Supervisors – Barbara's Bier Haus & Circuit, Southampton

Bridgegate Security is recruiting Door Supervisors to join our growing Southampton team, working across Barbara's Bier Haus and Circuit – two of the city's leading late night venues.
The brand new Barbara's Bier Haus has now opened in Southampton, bringing its distinctive mix of live entertainment, live sport, great music and late night hospitality to the city. Alongside this, Bridgegate also provides the security team at Circuit, one of Southampton's most popular and established nightclubs.
With two very different high profile venues, we're looking for professional, reliable Door Supervisors who enjoy working in the late night industry and understand how important great security is to the overall customer experience.
The Role
You'll be part of an experienced local operation, helping create a safe, welcoming and enjoyable environment for customers while maintaining the professional standards expected by both the venues and Bridgegate Security.
Depending on the venue and shift, your responsibilities will include:
- Providing a professional and welcoming presence at the venue
- Engaging positively with customers and venue staff
- Identifying potential issues early and dealing with them appropriately
- Responding calmly and professionally to incidents
- Supporting vulnerable customers where required
- Working closely with the Head Door Supervisor and venue management
What We're Looking For
- Valid SIA Door Supervisor licence – essential
- Smart, professional presentation
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Friendly and approachable with customers
- Reliable, punctual and team focused
- Calm and confident when dealing with challenging situations
- Good judgement and the ability to adapt your approach to different environments
- Someone who genuinely enjoys working in the industry
Previous experience within busy bars, clubs or late night hospitality is preferred but not essential. We're equally interested in newly qualified Door Supervisors with the right personality, attitude and willingness to learn.
