Driver / Roofing Labourer – Subcontractor
Dennison Roofing Services is looking for an experienced Driver / Roofing Labourer to support our team throughout our busy Autumn/Winter period.
We are looking for someone dependable, hardworking and experienced within the roofing industry who can support our roofers on site while also taking responsibility for driving a company van, collecting materials and assisting with the day-to-day running of jobs.
The approximate start date is mid-September 2026. The position will initially be offered on a subcontractor basis, with the opportunity for the right person to become a permanent member of our team.
Main duties will include:
- Supporting roofers with general roofing labouring duties
- Loading and unloading roofing materials, tools and equipment
- Collecting materials from roofing merchants
- Driving a company van between jobs and suppliers
- Assisting with the safe movement of materials on site
- Working from ladders and scaffolding where required
- Keeping work areas, tools and the company vehicle clean and organised
- Following instructions and working effectively as part of the roofing team
Essential requirements:
- Minimum 1 year’s previous experience as a roofing labourer
- Full, clean UK driving licence
- Previous experience driving a works/company van
- Confident working at height
- Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling
- Reliable and punctual
- Good health and safety awareness
- Able to work outdoors throughout the Autumn/Winter period
- Professional and respectful when working at customers’ properties
- Able to work effectively as part of a team
Driving licence checks will be carried out before the successful applicant is permitted to drive a company vehicle.
Previous experience with pitched roofing, slating, tiling, guttering, fascia/soffits or flat roofing would be advantageous.
Pay: £80–£120 per day, depending on hours worked.

Please note: This is not an entry-level roofing labouring position. Previous roofing labouring experience is required.
Pay: £8.00-£12.71 per hour
Expected hours: 20.0 – 40.0 per week
