Salary: £12.76 per hour, paid monthly
Background
This is a hands-on opportunity to join the INOV8 team at our Staveley store, working three days per week. As Sales Assistant, you’ll play an important role in supporting the performance of a busy store by delivering brilliant customer service, sharing expert product knowledge, and helping every customer find the right kit for their run, hike or gym goals.
The role is ideal for someone who enjoys being on the shop floor, interacting with customers, and representing the INOV8 brand with confidence, energy and enthusiasm. You’ll support both in-store customers and, during quieter times, online customer queries, helping to create a consistent and positive experience across all touchpoints.
What you’ll do
This role will suit someone who enjoys delivering excellent customer service, working as part of a small team, and bringing their passion for running, hiking, fitness — or ideally all three — into a retail environment.
You will be responsible for supporting all aspects of:
- Delivering fantastic service to customers in store and online
- Giving authentic, honest and knowledgeable product advice
- Supporting the day-to-day running, presentation and tidiness of the store
- Helping with merchandising, including preparing the store for sales, launches and promotions
- Supporting community events, races, shoe demos and brand activations
- Finding creative ways to go above and beyond for our customers
Who we’re looking for
This is a hands-on, customer-facing role requiring someone who is approachable, commercial and confident. You’ll enjoy working in a fast-paced retail environment and will have a genuine interest in INOV8’s run, hike and gym categories.
Previous experience in a premium, sports, outdoor or retail setting would be beneficial, alongside strong communication skills and a passion for helping customers make informed product choices.

Key Responsibilities (including, but not limited to):
- Deliver brilliant customer service to both in-store and online customers
- Provide expert product advice to customers across INOV8’s run, hike and gym ranges
- Deal with customer queries, returns and complaints, both in store and online
- Maintain excellent standards of tidiness, cleanliness and store presentation
- Support visual merchandising, including setting up the store for sales, promotions or product launches
- Help ensure product displays and promotional materials are presented to a high standard
- Support community events, races, shoe demos and other brand activations
- Contribute ideas and energy to help improve the customer experience
- Work collaboratively with the Store Manager and wider store team
Requirements
The ideal candidate should have the following relevant experience:
- Previous experience in a premium, sports, outdoor or retail setting
- Good people skills and confidence in a customer-facing role
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills
- A genuine passion for running, hiking, fitness — or ideally all three
- A valid UK driving licence and access to a car would be desirable

Education:
- GCSE or equivalent preferred
Experience:
