About the Role
Cable & Splicing Services (CASS) are looking for experienced and fully accredited Customer Connection Engineers to join our high-performing team. What You’ll Be Doing
As a Customer Connections Engineer, you’ll be a key part of bringing reliable fibre connectivity to customers’ homes in your local area.
Your day-to-day activities will include:
- Carrying out installations, testing, and commissioning of fibre connections at customer premises
- Working safely and efficiently across both overhead and underground PIA and client networks
- Assisting the field and support teams with fault diagnosis and problem-solving
- Coordinating with our project office to plan pre-installations, schedules, and service visits
- Ensuring all work is completed to CASS’s high standards, industry guidelines, and health & safety requirements
- Providing a professional, approachable service while interacting with customers at their homes
- Organising your workload effectively, working independently and collaborating with the wider field team
What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking fully accredited fibre engineers with proven industry experience and the following essential qualifications and competencies::
- SA001, SA002, (or equivalent SA006), SA005, SA007 (or equivalent)
- NRSWA Unit 1
- K8 (Hand rodding in UG network)
- SA051C (Tetra): Leaning Ladder and Flat Roof Access
- SA029 (or equivalent SA020)
- Valid NOPS Smart Awards Card (essential)
- Experience working at height from ladders and 11m telegraph poles
- Understanding of safety requirements for lone and team working
- Strong fibre knowledge of splicing, testing and installation
- Professional, well-presented, personable, and customer-focused
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Full UK manual driving licence
- Clear DBS
- PIA experience (desirable but not essential)

Pay: £120.00-£240.00 per day
