Join our team as a Security Officer and play a key role in keeping our client site safe, secure and welcoming.
We’re looking for a professional and reliable Security Officer to provide a high-quality security service at TMUK, Derby. You’ll be responsible for responding to security concerns, supporting visitors and contractors, monitoring CCTV and radio systems, and ensuring all site procedures are followed.
What you’ll do

Provide a professional, friendly and helpful security service to customers, visitors and colleagues

Monitor and respond promptly to security concerns and incidents
-
Deal efficiently with emergencies, including fire and bomb scares, following site procedures
-
Monitor CCTV and site radio systems in line with procedures
-
Support third-party contractors and visitors, ensuring site policies and procedures are followed
-
Maintain accurate security records, including incident reports, H&S documentation and the Site Occurrence Book
-
Liaise with statutory authorities when required and provide relevant information

Ensure all Assignment Instructions are followed at all times
-
Provide regular feedback to the site management team on security operations and any concerns
-
Build excellent working relationships with customers and colleagues
-
Take appropriate action to maintain a safe and secure environment

Complete any other reasonable duties required to support the needs of the business
What you’ll bring
-
Valid SIA Frontline Guarding Licence – essential

Full driving licence – essential
-
Good IT skills, including an intermediate knowledge of Microsoft products
-
Experience of effective time management
-
Excellent communication and customer service skills
-
A professional, approachable and helpful manner
-
Ability to remain calm and respond appropriately to incidents and emergencies

Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately complete reports and records

Ability to follow procedures and written instructions
Desirable:

Professional or further qualification in Security Operations
-
Previous experience working in an office environment
