We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Nurse to join our dental practice. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting dentists during procedures, ensuring patient comfort, and maintaining a smooth workflow within the clinic. Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during various dental procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and sterilised.
- Provide exceptional patient care by offering reassurance and ensuring patient comfort throughout their visit.
- Assist in maintaining accurate patient records in accordance with practice protocols.
- Prepare treatment rooms before appointments, including sterilizing equipment and ensuring all necessary supplies are available.
- Support with infection control procedures in line with health and safety regulations.
- Manage appointment scheduling, reminders, and follow-up communications efficiently.
- Handle administrative tasks such as maintaining stock levels of dental supplies and organising clinical areas for optimal workflow.
- Communicate effectively with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless service delivery.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a dental assistant. Trainees will be considered with a minimum of 1 year previous chairside experience is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently within a busy environment.
- Good IT skills for maintaining electronic health records and managing appointment systems.
- Ability to work well as part of a team while also demonstrating initiative independently.
- Compassionate approach with a focus on delivering outstanding patient care.
- Knowledge of infection control standards and sterilisation procedures is advantageous.
