Overview
We are seeking a kind person to represent Cupcakes Catering Ltd as a School Food Server at a school in Romsley B62 area.
In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to pupils at the School, ensuring smooth running lunchtimes each weekend during Term Time.
Working Hours. 10:45 to 14:00 Monday to Friday. Term-Time Only
In this role you will have the opportunity to -
- Arrive at Cupcakes Catering Ltd (B60 4HS) at approx 11:30
- Load your own car with 4 lightweight boxes
- Travel to St Kenelms School in Romsley for which a generous mileage allowance is paid to cover fuel and wear and tear
- Serve our delicous food to the lovely primary children at this wonderful modern school
- Return to Cupcakes Catering (15 miles) with the empty boxes and food tins, again this attracts a generous mileage allowance
Responsibilities
- Set up and serve food items in accordance with our policies & procedures.
- Full Training given / Level 2 Food Hygeine
- We will require you to undertake an enhanced DBS check
This role would suit someone looking for term-time only work who can work as part of a team within a school.

Duties
- Serve hot and cold meals to students in a courteous and professional manner, ensuring proper presentation and portion control
- Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, kitchen, and serving stations throughout the service period
- Ensure all food safety protocols are adhered to, including proper storage, handling, and disposal of food items
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure smooth operation of meal service during busy periods
- Assist with delivery or distribution of meals where required, ensuring timely service within designated times
- Communicate effectively with students, staff, and other team members using polite phone etiquette when necessary
Qualifications
- Previous experience in hospitality, food preparation, or restaurant environments is desirable but not essential; training will be provided
- Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures is advantageous
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team are essential
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently during peak service times
- A friendly demeanour with good organisational skills and attention to detail
- Basic understanding of meal preparation techniques and guest services principles
