Location: Masters House, Humberston
Company: Golf Sim Solutions Ltd
About the Role
We design and manufacture premium, bespoke golf simulator environments. We are looking for an experienced and highly capable Industrial Sewing Machinist to take ownership of producing our heavy-duty golf simulator impact screens.
The ideal candidate is someone we can hand a drawing to, and trust them to calculate, cut, and manufacture the finished screen independently. Because our screens average 4m x 3m (and are sometimes larger), you must be comfortable handling and manoeuvring large volumes of heavy fabric.
Key Responsibilities
- Independent Manufacturing: Work to precise measurements, cut, and produce bespoke impact screens.
- Heavy Machining: Perform hemming, banding, velcro application, and eyeleting on large scale (4m x 3m+) heavy duty fabrics.
- Quality Control: Inspect finished screens to ensure dimensions are exact and stitching meets our high durability standards.
- Cross-Training (Upholstery): On the rare occasion that screen production is quiet, assist with manufacturing upholstered wall protection tiles (similar to creating miniature headboards full training provided).
- Workspace Management: Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
Requirements
- Experience: Proven background in industrial sewing, upholstery, sail making, tent making, or handling large/heavy fabrics.
- Equipment Proficiency: Highly competent operating industrial sewing machines.
- Self-Motivated: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work completely independently from measurements to a finished product.
- Physical Capability: Comfortable handling, cutting, folding, and feeding very large pieces of heavy fabric through a machine.
- Detail-Orientated: Precision is critical to ensure screens fit our custom simulator enclosures perfectly.
What We Offer
- Flexible Hours: We are open to both Full-Time and Part-Time applicants.
- Professional Equipment: You will have access to high-end machinery, with the option to use either a single-needle industrial single or a twin-head industrial machine, depending on your preference.
- Stable Environment: Join a growing, specialised manufacturing company in Humberston.
Working Hours & Compensation
We are currently looking for either full-time or part-time candidates to fill this role. We understand that highly skilled machinists may have different working preferences, so the contract structure both the contract type and overall compensation are fully negotiable depending on your individual needs, availability, and experience.
