Personal Tax Senior - Chandler’s Ford, Hampshire

As a Tax Senior, you will take ownership of a portfolio of more complex tax clients, working independently while also supporting and developing junior team members.
This role sits at a level where you are expected to deliver high-quality compliance work, review others’ work, and begin contributing to advisory and tax planning.
Summary of Key Tasks
- Manage a portfolio of personal tax clients (including complex cases)
- Prepare and review self-assessment tax returns to a high standard
- Act as a main client contact, handling queries confidently
- Review and support junior team members and provide constructive feedback
- Assist with tax planning and advisory work
- Liaise with HMRC and ensure compliance with deadlines
- Identify risks, issues and opportunities to add value within client work
The Ideal Candidate
- ATT qualified (or equivalent) with a minimum of 2 years qualified experience. We would also welcome applications from CTA qualified candidates.
- Strong UK personal tax knowledge
- Experience of managing a Tax Return portfolio and ideally have experience of supporting junior staff.
- Good attention to detail and be able to correctly calculate tax liabilities.
- Organised and methodical approach to workload. Able to manage deadlines and prioritise competing demands.
- Be a confident communicator with a client-focussed approach.
- Value a team working environment and be able to work independently with limited guidance.
- Good IT skills. Prior knowledge of Iris software would be an advantage but is not essential.
