Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Food and Beverage Attendant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in hospitality and restaurant service, with a focus on delivering exceptional guest experiences. This role involves providing attentive service, ensuring food safety standards are maintained, and contributing to a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. Responsibilities
- Serve food and beverages to guests in a courteous and timely manner, ensuring high standards of guest service at all times
- Assist with food preparation and presentation to meet quality standards and safety regulations
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the service area, including tables, counters, and storage spaces
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and maximise sales opportunities
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper handling of all food items
- Manage guest orders accurately using point-of-sale systems, including processing payments and providing correct change
- Support kitchen staff with basic food preparation tasks when required
- Attend to guest enquiries promptly, providing information about menu options and specials
- Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure efficient service delivery during busy periods
Experience
- Proven experience working within hospitality or restaurant environments, preferably in a similar role as a Food and Beverage Attendant or server
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling procedures
- Experience in food preparation or culinary roles is advantageous
- Familiarity with serving techniques, upselling strategies, and guest service excellence
- Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in order taking and presentation
- Excellent communication skills with a friendly demeanour towards guests and team members
