JLI Contractors are a South Coast based fit-out, carpentry and interiors contractor, specialising in high end fit outs in Hampshire and surrounding areas. We are looking for a full time Junior Project Manager to join us, primarily focusing on managing the procurement, labour element and finance of our projects.
This is a hybrid role, with travel to our UK sites when required.
Purpose of the job
- Keeping clients, contractors and JLI management informed on job progress
- Assisting in pricing and delivering jobs
- Monitoring and updating programs
- Foreseeing potential issues prior to them happening,
- Provide technical guidance to both clients and subcontractors
Key responsibilities
- Surveying jobs
- Building strong relationships with new and existing clients
- Purchasing of materials at competitive prices
- Managing the project finances and making sure the job runs at a profit
- Quality control
Knowledge, skills and experience required
- Good understanding of construction industry and relevant safe practices
- Good knowledge of trades and relevant costs within the industry
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Good time management and ability to have multiple projects running simultaneously
- Ability to develop and maintain a good professional relationship with clients and suppliers
- Ability to understand a schedule of works
- Ability to negotiate effectively and resolve conflicts
Pay: £30,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
