Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Assistant/Bookkeeper to join our finance team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the financial operations of our organisation. This position requires proficiency in various accounting software and a solid understanding of accounts payable processes. The Accounts Assistant/Bookkeeper will assist with data entry, maintain accurate financial records, and contribute to the overall efficiency of the finance department.
Duties
- Managing accounts payable, ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments.
- Perform data entry tasks with high accuracy to maintain up-to-date financial records.
- Utilise accounting software such as Sage, Sage Payroll for various financial transactions.
- Month-end closing processes by preparing necessary reports and reconciliations.
- Collaborate with team members to streamline financial processes and improve efficiency.
- Maintain organised documentation for all financial transactions and correspondence.
- Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding accounts payable and other financial matters.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a finance or accounting role .
- Proficiency in accounting software Sage, Sage Payroll, Pensions
- Proficiency in P.A.Y.E and VAT
- Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and financial services.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong organisational skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills to liaise with various stakeholders.
