Do you love making complicated things run smoothly?
We are now looking for an exceptional Operations Guru to become one of the operational anchors of our small and busy team.
This is a varied role for someone who gets genuine satisfaction from being organised, spotting what needs doing, keeping accurate records and making sure that nothing gets forgotten.
You might start the morning checking information for students arriving the following week, then liaise with our academic team about a new course, confirm an excursion booking, update our student management system and respond to an agent or parent.
If you are the kind of person who enjoys bringing order to lots of moving parts, we would love to hear from you.
What will you be doing?
You will play a central role in coordinating the student journey from enrolment through to course delivery.
Your responsibilities will include:
- processing student applications, enrolments and registrations;
- maintaining accurate student and course records;
- monitoring forthcoming student and group arrivals;
- ensuring required information and documentation is received on time;
- preparing accurate information for our academic and teaching teams;
- coordinating administrative handovers between sales, academic and operational colleagues;
- updating our student management systems;
- supporting student pre-arrival and course administration;
- coordinating activity and excursion bookings;
- communicating with venues, attractions and other suppliers;
- maintaining booking confirmations, costs and related records;
- allocating students to activity groups and preparing relevant lists;
- supporting payment and booking administration;
- responding professionally to students, parents, educational partners and colleagues;
- identifying missing information or potential problems before they become urgent.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for someone who is:
- exceptionally organised and comfortable managing several priorities at the same time;
- naturally attentive to detail;
- calm and methodical when things get busy;
- digitally confident and quick to learn new systems;
- comfortable working with spreadsheets, online platforms and AI;
- friendly, professional and approachable;
- an excellent written and verbal communicator;
- confident communicating with people from different countries and cultures;
- able to work independently and use initiative;
- someone who takes ownership rather than waiting to be reminded;
- happy working as part of a small, collaborative team;
- adaptable and willing to help when priorities change.
- Above all, we are looking for someone colleagues can depend on.
Do I need language-school experience?
No. Experience in international education or ELT would certainly be helpful, but we are very open to candidates from other sectors.
We believe that excellent organisation, judgement, digital confidence and attitude are more important than already knowing our particular sector.
We offer:
- a salary of £27,500–£32,000, depending on experience;
- a permanent year-round position;
- a friendly, international working environment in central Bath;
- varied work with genuine responsibility;
- training in our systems and processes;
- opportunities to develop your role as the school evolves;
- some flexibility once fully trained, where operational requirements allow;
- the opportunity to work in a small organisation where your contribution really matters.
Pay: £27,500.00-£32,000.00 per year
Work Location: In person
