Acclaim (UK) work on behalf of a market-leading Credit Hire Organisation and are recruiting for a Collections Claims Handler to handle the financial settlement of credit hire claims.

The Collections Claims Handler role involves the negotiation and settlement of credit hire and storage and recovery invoices with at-fault insurers, after we have overseen the provision of a like-for-like credit hire vehicle to non-fault parties involved in motor accidents. Day-to-day, you will take ownership of your own caseload which will involve keeping clients up-to-date and negotiating financial settlements with insurers both over the phone and via written correspondence.
What you need to work for us:
- Experience working in credit hire, insurance or automotive industry
- Experience in dealing with RTA claims
- A good level of knowledge of vehicles
- Excellent telephone manner and customer service skills
- Great communication skills both written and verbal and the ability to negotiate confidently
- The ability to multitask, prioritise and work effectively to deadlines
- A can do attitude and flexibility to assist other areas of the business as required
- The ability to make fast, informed decisions
- The ability to make effective relationships with colleagues
- A working knowledge of Word/ Excel/Outlook and basic IT skills
Desirable skills:
- Previous experience as a claims handler within the motor industry

Hours: 37.5 per week, 8.30-5, Monday to Friday
Salary: starting from £25,000 per year dependent on experience, plus competitive non-contractual bonus scheme allowing additional earning potential on average of £1,500-£2,000 per year, solely dependent on performance.
