Duties
- Install solar photovoltaic systems by connecting electrical components according to design specifications and safety standards
- Use hand tools and power tools to assemble, wire, and secure electrical panels and mounting structures
- Conduct inspections of installed systems to ensure proper operation and compliance with electrical codes
- Troubleshoot electrical issues within PV systems using diagnostic tools and techniques
- Perform routine maintenance on existing solar installations to optimize performance and longevity
- Collaborate with project teams to complete installations on schedule and within safety guidelines
- Document installation processes, system configurations, and maintenance activities accurately
Requirements
- Proven electrical experience with a strong understanding of electrical wiring, circuitry, and safety protocols
- Proficiency in using hand tools such as pliers, screwdrivers, wire strippers, and multimeters
- Experience operating power tools including drills, saws, and torque wrenches
- Knowledge of solar PV system components, wiring diagrams, and electrical codes is highly desirable
- Ability to read technical drawings and follow detailed installation instructions
- Strong problem-solving skills with an energetic approach to troubleshooting and repairs
- Valid electrical license or certification as required by local regulations is preferred but not mandatory for entry-level candidates
