We're looking for an enthusiastic cook to join our friendly team at Peony & Corks Café. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to develop their skills and help lead a busy café kitchen alongside another experienced cook.
This isn't just another cooking job – you'll share responsibility for running the kitchen, creating daily specials, maintaining high food standards, managing stock, and helping shape the future of our menu.
What we're looking for:
- Previous experience working in a professional kitchen.
- Passion for fresh, homemade food.
- Someone who enjoys working as part of a team.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Reliable, organised and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Someone looking to grow into a more senior kitchen role.
The role:
- Prepare and cook breakfast and lunch dishes.
- Work alongside another cook to manage the day-to-day running of the kitchen.
- Help develop seasonal specials and new menu ideas.
- Maintain excellent food hygiene and kitchen cleanliness.
- Assist with stock control and ordering.

As a new independent café, we're unable to offer the highest wages right now, but we can offer something just as valuable – the opportunity to gain responsibility, develop your career, and grow with us. We're looking for someone who sees the long-term opportunity rather than just the hourly rate.
Hours: Full-time or part-time considered (including some weekends).
