Orpington Music Studio is offering an excellent opportunity for an experienced and enthusiastic piano teacher to work with our many students living in Orpington and surrounding areas. Starting from 1st of August, this flexible role would suit a piano teacher available to work during evenings and weekends. The teacher is responsible for their own travel and invoicing their students. In exchange of Orpington Music Studio’s agency services (including providing students, organising termly students concerts, booking exams, promoting teachers’ musical engagements on our monthly newsletter and administration), we charge 15% commission.
We are looking to interview candidates who meet the following criteria:
- A Bachelors or Masters Degree in Music from a UK or other European Conservatoire
- Prompt and clear email communication within 24 hours on weekdays.
- Experience teaching students aged 5+ ranging from beginners to advanced (grade 8+) standard
- Familiarity with the ABRSM piano syllabus
- Appreciation for music and for teaching music, and the ability to communicate this effectively in lessons.
