Job Summary
Trimax Industrial Design Ltd is seeking an experienced Industrial Design Manager to lead the development of innovative, functional, and commercially viable products. You will manage design projects from initial concept through prototyping and production while coordinating designers, engineers, manufacturers, suppliers, and clients.
What You'll Do
- Lead industrial and product-design projects from concept to manufacture.
- Manage designers, CAD specialists, engineers, and external consultants.
- Develop project briefs, design schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
- Review sketches, 3D models, technical drawings, prototypes, and specifications.
- Ensure designs meet usability, safety, quality, cost, and manufacturing requirements.
- Coordinate prototyping, testing, material selection, and design validation.
- Work with engineering and production teams to resolve technical challenges.
- Present design concepts and project updates to clients and stakeholders.
- Monitor design trends, new materials, technologies, and manufacturing processes.
- Maintain accurate design documentation and version-control records.
- Manage suppliers, prototype manufacturers, and production partners.
- Improve design processes, standards, and team performance.
Requirements
- Experience in industrial design, product design, or design engineering.
- Previous experience leading design projects or supervising creative and technical teams.
- Strong understanding of product-development and manufacturing processes.
- Proficiency with CAD and 3D design software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Rhino, or Fusion 360.
- Experience with prototyping, materials, production methods, and design validation.
- Strong project-management, budgeting, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Excellent creative, technical, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to balance innovation with commercial and manufacturing requirements.
- Degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, Design Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Experience with sustainable design and design-for-manufacture principles is advantageous.

Pay: £4,600.00-£5,200.00 per month
