Are you an experienced Registered Manager looking for the opportunity to shape a brand-new children's home and make a lasting difference to young people's lives?
The Role
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Manager to lead a brand-new specialist children's home in Kirkby in Ashfield.
This is a unique opportunity to establish and shape a new service that will support children and young people requiring specialist residential care, often at short notice, while longer-term care arrangements are identified. Initially, the home will provide a safe, stable and nurturing environment for one child or young person, with plans to support two children once the service is fully established.
You will lead a home where trauma-informed therapeutic care is at the heart of everything you do, ensuring children and young people feel safe, valued and supported. As Registered Manager, you will be responsible for recruiting, leading and developing a dedicated team, ensuring full regulatory compliance, and creating a positive, child-centred culture that delivers high-quality care and positive outcomes.
About You
You will have a strong background in children's residential care, with experience supporting children who have experienced trauma. You'll demonstrate a trauma-informed approach to care and be passionate about creating safe, nurturing environments where children can thrive.
Leadership experience is essential, along with the ability to recruit, develop and inspire teams to deliver outstanding care. You will have a good understanding of Ofsted regulations and children's home legislation, be calm, resilient and child-focused, and be able to build positive relationships with children, colleagues and partner agencies.
A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent) is preferred, together with a minimum of two years' supervisory experience within children's residential services.
What's On Offer
- Salary of up to £60,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
- £700 annual standby allowance (maximum of 8 standby duties per year).
- 29 days' annual leave plus bank holidays.
- Option to buy or sell annual leave.
- Pension scheme with up to 7% employer contributions.

This is an exciting opportunity to shape a brand-new service, lead a dedicated team and make a lasting difference to the lives of children while further developing your career.
