Woodhall Manor is one of Suffolk's most beautiful exclusive-use wedding and events venues. We have two positions available for proactive, hands-on team members who want to be part of something special, with live-in accommodation included for both roles.
These are varied, rewarding positions at the heart of how the manor operates day to day. No two days are the same, and the work spans event support, housekeeping, maintenance and overnight security.
Both roles will work closely together, so we are particularly interested in hearing from applicants who can apply as a pair and who are comfortable sharing the on-site accommodation provided.
What the Roles Involve
Event Support: Setting up and preparing spaces for weddings and events, moving furniture, supporting changeovers, and ensuring venues are guest-ready during busy weekends and key functions.
Overnight Security and Guest Safety: Overnight presence on site, regular checks of the manor, grounds and access points, responding calmly to guest concerns or emergencies, supporting fire safety procedures and helping guests feel safe and welcomed at all times.
Maintenance: Assist in general repairs and upkeep across guest and back-of-house areas, basic plumbing, painting and decorating, grounds and exterior presentation, routine preventative checks and supporting contractors when on site.
Housekeeping: Cleaning and maintaining guest bedrooms and public areas to an exceptional standard, laundry and linen support, assisting with room turnarounds during peak periods, and reporting any maintenance or quality issues.
What We Are Looking For
We are looking for people who are practical, dependable and take real pride in their work. The following will help your application, though full training is available:
Previous experience in hospitality, caretaking, cleaning, maintenance or security is helpful but not essential. More important are a positive attitude, strong work ethic, calm and responsible approach, good attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a small team.
Flexibility is essential. The roles include evenings, weekends, overnight cover and busy event dates. Time off is planned fairly.
What We Offer
Live-in accommodation on site, utilities included, up to £13.00 per hour, employee discount, free on-site parking, a beautiful working environment, long-term stability and a supportive team culture.
