Finance Manager · New Homes
Salary: £40,000 · £50,000 + Benefits

Ferox Partners are recruiting for a Finance Manager to join a rapidly expanding house building business based in central Romsey. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced accounts professional to take full ownership of financial accounting for a busy and growing New Homes division.

- £40,000 · £50,000 depending on experience

- Permanent, full time (reduced hours will be considered for the right candidate)
The Role
Reporting into the Commercial Manager and Business Owner, this role takes full responsibility for the day to day financial accounting of the business, supported by the Office Manager who has been covering elements of this role in the interim.
What You'll Be Doing
- Day to day bookkeeping including accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations and ledger maintenance
- Managing CIS submissions and ensuring full compliance with HMRC regulations
- Processing subcontractor payments and verifying CIS deductions
- Preparing and submitting VAT returns
- Supporting month end procedures and management accounts
- Liaising with project managers to track job costs and ensure accurate financial reporting
- Maintaining organised, up to date financial records
- Supporting senior stakeholders in meetings and presentations
What We're Looking For
- Essential: experience within house building is a must, whether that's elderly living schemes, private residential homes or commercial developments, candidates need to come from within this industry
- AAT Level 4 qualified, or working towards, ideally
- Minimum 5 years bookkeeping experience, with at least 2 years in construction or property development
- Strong knowledge of CIS regulations and processes
- Proficient in Xero, Sage, COINS and Microsoft Excel
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail

- Comfortable working independently and as part of a small, supportive team
- Able to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks at once
