Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Bookkeeper to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable, and ensuring the smooth operation of our accounting processes. Duties
- Record and maintain financial transactions using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments
- Reconcile bank statements and ledger accounts regularly to ensure accuracy
- Prepare financial reports and summaries for management review
- Assist with payroll processing and employee expense claims
- Support year-end audit preparations by organising relevant documentation
- Maintain organised financial records in compliance with organisational policies and statutory requirements
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role within a professional environment
- Proficiency in accounting software including QuickBooks, Sage, and Xero
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and procedures
- Experience managing accounts payable and receivable processes
- Excellent organisational skills with high attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines effectively
- Relevant qualifications in accounting or finance are desirable but not essential
