Riverdale Estates are a long established lettings agency based on the Ipswich waterfront. Due to retirement, we are looking for a reliable, trustworthy and experienced handyman/woman to join our established team. We are looking for the right candidate to join us and we would consider full or part time hours, permanent contract or even on a self employed basis.
We are looking for someone to help us maintain our portfolio of managed properties to the highest standards. Most of the work will be in Ipswich or within a 10 mile radius. The role will include working in people's homes and carrying out a variety of different tasks so attention to detail and high standards are required. It will include everything from putting up blinds, fixing leaky taps, basic redecoraton to more involved refurbishments working alongside other trades.
We are ideally looking for someone who has a range of experience in basic property maintenance across all areas. Applicants must have experience and knowledge within the domestic sector - you will be part of a small, dedictaed team but you will need to work independantly and be self-motivated to work under your own initiative.
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- A minimum of 3 years' experience across multiple trades.
- Friendly and confident manner
- A full UK driving licence.
- Excellent spoken and written English.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to your work.
- High standards of workmanship with excellent attention to detail.
- The ability to work independently and professionally within occupied residential properties.
As this role involves working in customers' homes, a DBS check will be required before work commences.
