We're looking for an experienced, passionate chef to join our small team at The Hobo Club.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys cooking with fresh ingredients, takes pride in every plate they serve and wants to be part of a relaxed, independent venue where their ideas genuinely matter.
Our menu is inspired by bold Mexican flavours and quality seasonal produce, so experience with Mexican cuisine is a real advantage, although confidence cooking fresh food and a willingness to learn is just as important.
About the role
This is a part-time position consisting of:
- Thursday daytime prep shift every week
- Friday evening service
- Saturday evening service
- Additional shifts available for private events and functions
You'll be responsible for preparing and serving consistently high-quality food, helping with menu development, maintaining excellent food hygiene standards and working closely with our front-of-house team to deliver a great experience for our members.
We're looking for someone who:
- Has at least 2 years' experience working in a professional kitchen
- Is confident cooking fresh food from scratch
- Has experience with, or a genuine interest in, Mexican-inspired cuisine
- Works well under pressure during busy services
- Is organised, reliable and takes pride in maintaining high standards
- Enjoys working as part of a close-knit team
- Is creative and keen to contribute ideas to our menus
