Overview
We are seeking a vigilant and dependable Night Security Officer to maintain safety and security across our premises on a 36 hours per week, 3 over 7 basis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring the site, preventing loss, and ensuring a secure environment for staff and visitors. Duties
- Conduct regular surveillance of the premises using CCTV systems and physical patrols to identify any suspicious activity or security breaches.
- Monitor access points, verify identification, and control entry to authorised personnel only.
- Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, or incidents, providing assistance as needed, including administering first aid if necessary.
- Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and security checks to ensure accurate record-keeping.
- Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency services during incidents or investigations.
- Enforce company policies and safety procedures to uphold a secure environment for all occupants.
Experience
- A complete 5 year work history is required for this role
- Candidates must possess a high standard of written and spoken English
- Prior experience in security or surveillance roles is preferred but not essential; training will be provided.
- Knowledge of CCTV systems, surveillance techniques is advantageous.
- Certification in first aid or emergency response is desirable but not mandatory; training will be available for successful candidates.
- Strong observational skills with the ability to remain alert during long shifts.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to respond calmly under pressure.
- A valid first aid certification is a plus, demonstrating readiness to handle emergency situations effectively. Pay: £13.45 per hour
