Overview
We are seeking a motivated and diligent Ground Worker to join our dynamic construction and landscaping team. Responsibilities
- Assist with landscape maintenance tasks such as planting, pruning, mulching, and turf care to enhance outdoor spaces.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and small machinery like excavators under supervision to prepare sites for construction or landscaping projects.
- Support irrigation system installation, repair, and maintenance to ensure optimal water management for gardens and landscapes.
- Conduct routine site inspections to identify maintenance needs or hazards, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Collaborate with team members on construction activities including digging, trenching, material handling, and site cleanup.
- Maintain equipment including cleaning, basic repairs, and regular checks to ensure operational readiness.
- Follow safety protocols diligently while working around machinery, tools, and in various outdoor environments.
Experience
- Prior experience in landscape maintenance, gardening, horticulture or related outdoor work is highly desirable.
- Mechanical knowledge or experience operating equipment such as excavators or power tools is a strong plus.
- Construction experience involving site preparation or groundwork will be advantageous.
- Familiarity with irrigation systems and general maintenance tasks demonstrates versatility in ground work roles.
- Ability to use hand tools effectively and safely in various outdoor settings is essential.
- A proactive attitude towards learning new skills related to gardening, horticulture, or construction is valued.
- Physical stamina and the ability to work outdoors in different weather conditions are important for success in this role.
