- Quality Control: Perform routine dimensional inspections of cut components using various measurement tools to ensure accuracy and consistency with required tolerances and quality standards.
- Programming & Setup: Select and load proper cutting programs, establish stop locations, and adjust laser beam focal points and parameters (power, speed, frequency) for different materials and thicknesses.
- Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Perform prescribed daily/periodic maintenance and troubleshooting on laser equipment (e.g., cleaning lenses, checking gas levels, ensuring cooling system operation) to ensure optimal performance and report any malfunctions to the supervisor.
- Safety & Housekeeping: Adhere to all factory safety and environmental procedures, ensure correct use of PPE, and maintain a clean and organised work area.
- Documentation & Communication: Complete required quality records, manage tower stock levels, and communicate daily with other department managers and team members regarding workload and any issues.
