Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Paint Operative to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with the preparation, application, and finishing of paint on various products and surfaces. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop practical skills within a dynamic environment, supporting the production process through precise and efficient work. Prior experience in warehouse operations, construction painting, or fabrication is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided. All roles are paid positions, ensuring fair remuneration for your efforts.
Responsibilities
- Reading & interpreting engineering drawings & production information
- Priming & painting hydraulic cylinders
- Using electrostatic gun & 2K colour change system
- Actively engage and use company MRP system (Progress Plus)
- Loading & unloading production line
- Working within the internal quality system ensuring that a high standard of production is maintained through to finished product stage
- Working in line with efficiency targets for your area
- Working in a meticulous manner, paying close attention to workmanship ensuring minimal defect rate
- Operating in line with company H & S policy
- Adhering to all company policy especially in relation to timekeeping and attendance
- Any other duties, within reason & capability, as determined by team leader
Qualifications
- Good communication skills both verbal & written
- Strong numeracy & literacy skills
- Previous engineering industry experience
- Previous spray-painting experience (min. 2 years)
- Meticulous eye for detail
