What You’ll Do

As a Despatch Operative, you’ll be a key part of our operations, ensuring the safe and efficient handling and distribution of daily orders. Your role will help us deliver fresh, high-quality bread and baked goods to homes and businesses every day. Key responsibilities include:

Safety First: Proactively report hazards and collaborate with colleagues to maintain a Zero Harm workplace.
Order Fulfillment: Pick, load, unload, and manage products with accuracy and efficiency.
Adaptability: Take on various tasks across the despatch operation and embrace learning new skills.
Performance Excellence: Achieve targets using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and other performance tools.
Standards Compliance: Maintain a “clean as you go” approach, contributing to internal and external audits.
Team Collaboration: Build strong relationships with teams across the site to ensure seamless operations.

Experience in a warehousing or distribution environment.
PC literacy and familiarity with WMS systems.
Strong numeracy, literacy, and communication skills.
A team-focused attitude, reliability, and great organisational skills.
Flexibility and a proactive approach to challenges.
External FLT licenses (desirable but not essential).
Strong customer and quality focus.
