We're currently looking for a Transport Planner to join our Transport Planning team in Nottingham. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys delivering high-quality transport planning solutions, working collaboratively on a range of projects and building strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
You'll be responsible for producing a range of technical reports, including Transport Notes, Transport Statements, Transport Assessments, Travel Plans, Environmental Statement Transport Chapters and Active Travel Audits, together with the associated calculations. You'll also undertake preliminary highway design using AutoCAD and use industry-standard software including TRL Junctions, LinSig/Junctions, TRICS and TEMPro.
As part of the role, you'll support the delivery and management of projects, assisting with staff resourcing, project deliverables, project financials and liaising with clients and key stakeholders. You'll also play an important role in the continued growth of the Nottingham Transport Planning team while working alongside colleagues across the wider business.
We'd love to hear from you if you have:
- 3+ years' experience working in private consultancy development planning across multiple sectors, ideally including residential, commercial and industrial developments.
- A degree in Transport Planning or a related discipline.
- Experience producing Transport Notes, Transport Statements, Transport Assessments, Travel Plans, Environmental Statement Transport Chapters and Active Travel Audits, together with the associated calculations.
- Experience using junction capacity modelling software, including TRL Junctions and LinSig/Junctions.
- Proficiency in key industry software such as TRICS, TEMPro and AutoCAD.
- A good understanding of preliminary highway design and the application of relevant design standards.
- Experience supporting the delivery and management of projects, including project deliverables, project financials and liaising with clients and key stakeholders.
- Excellent organisational, communication, analytical and presentation skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet project deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to communicate technical information clearly to clients, colleagues and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, particularly MS Word and MS Excel.
- A proactive and collaborative approach, with the ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- A desire to continue developing your technical knowledge and contribute to innovative transport planning solutions.
- An ambition to support the continued growth of the Nottingham Transport Planning team.
