HGV Class 2 Driver
Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 per annum
Location: Enfield
Working Hours: Monday to Friday
Overtime: Paid at 1.5x
Are you an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver looking for your next opportunity? We're seeking a reliable and motivated driver to join a busy and professional operation, transporting plant machinery and equipment safely to and from customer sites.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong work ethic, great customer service skills, and experience working within the construction, plant hire, or heavy equipment sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely deliver and collect plant machinery, tools, and equipment to customer sites.
- Carry out daily vehicle inspections and ensure your vehicle is maintained to a high standard.
- Load, secure, and unload equipment safely, following all transport and health & safety regulations.
- Complete delivery paperwork accurately and efficiently.
- Provide excellent customer service when delivering to construction sites and commercial customers.
- Report any vehicle defects or equipment issues promptly.
- Ensure deliveries and collections are completed on time while maintaining high safety standards.
Requirements
- Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence.
- Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
- Previous Class 2 driving experience.
- Experience transporting plant machinery or construction equipment is desirable but not essential.
- Good knowledge of vehicle safety checks and load securing.
- Positive attitude, reliability, and strong communication skills.
