Job Summary
We are looking for an apprentice to join our busy dental practice as a trainee dental nurse.
As a Dental Nurse, you will be:

Clinical duties:
- Set up and prepare the surgery for the type of treatment planned
- Escort the patient into surgery and make them feel welcome
- Prepare the patient for treatment
- Assist the dentist throughout the procedure
- Clean and sterilise all instruments/equipment and working surfaces to the required standards
- Prepare the necessary materials and instruments,
- Ensure safe disposal of sharps and clinical waste,
- Preparing for dental radiographs and processing the digital images
- Maintain and clean the radiography processing unit,
- Follow all practice policies and procedures,
Abide by all dental ethical guidelines, including all rules on confidentiality
Days of work
Monday – Friday 08.30 – 17.30 with one hour for lunch. Off the job training will be given to complete the Dental Nurse Level 3 NVQ qualification.
