Job Title: General Workshop Operative
Job Overview
We are looking for a motivated and hardworking General Workshop Operative to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work and is eager to develop a range of skills within a manufacturing workshop environment. You will play a key role in assisting with the production of high-quality wood-burning stoves, performing a variety of workshop tasks, and supporting other team members.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the manufacturing process by using hand tools and power tools to perform various tasks.
- Drilling and tapping of components to ensure they meet production specifications.
- Learning and supporting a range of workshop tasks, including folding, shot blasting, finishing, preparing stoves to be loaded onto robots and assembly work.
- Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard while maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
- Adhering to company procedures and safety guidelines when using equipment and handling materials.
Requirements & Skills
- No prior experience is required—full training will be provided. However, any previous experience in a workshop, manufacturing setting or any welding experience would be an advantage.
- A willingness to learn and develop new skills within a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
- Basic proficiency in using hand tools and power tools (such as drills, grinders, and saws) would be beneficial.
- A keen eye for detail and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Good teamwork skills and a positive attitude toward working in a collaborative environment.
- A proactive and responsible approach to health and safety in the workplace.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £12.71-£13.50 per hour
