We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Quality Controller to join our team. This entry-level role is ideal for someone with hands-on tiling experience or a strong interest in construction who is ready to take the next step into site supervision and project coordination. You will work closely with experienced supervisors to learn how to manage tiling teams, maintain quality standards, and ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and to specification.
Duties Include:
- Assist in supervising daily activities of tiling crews on residential and/or commercial projects.
- Help monitor progress and report any delays or issues to senior supervisors or project managers.
- Learn to inspect completed work to ensure it meets company quality standards, design specifications, and industry best practices.
- Assist with resolving onsite workmanship issues and helping tilers achieve consistent, high-quality results.
Skills & Competencies
- Basic knowledge of tiling techniques, tools, and materials (preferred but not essential).
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality workmanship.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to learn, take instruction, and apply new skills.
- Ability to solve problems and remain calm under pressure.
- Good organisational and time-management abilities.
Requirements
- Previous experience in tiling, construction, or a related trade is desirable but not required.
- Valid CSCS card or willingness to obtain one (if applicable in your region).
- Full driving licence (preferred).
- Physically able to carry out tasks in a construction environment.
This position is a self employed, and rate of pay will be based on experience
