We are looking to appoint an experienced Team Leader to manage one of our Hubs based in Taunton.
Who we are
My Day Care Services is a leading provider of day services in Somerset, with provisions across Taunton and Bridgwater, we provide person-centred and meaningful day services for Adults with Learning Disabilities and Autistic people. We have multiple ‘micro-teams’ and work in small groups or on a 1-2-1 basis. We are a dynamic and forward-thinking team, constantly developing and endeavouring to provide high-quality, person-centred care services to adults across Somerset.
About you
The successful candidate will have experience leading or managing a small team, ideally within adult social care, and will be able to lead from the front while supporting staff to deliver outstanding person-centred support.

This is a hands-on role. Alongside leading the Hub and supporting your team, you will work directly with adults with learning disabilities and autistic people, supporting them to access activities, develop skills, build confidence and achieve personal goals.
We are looking for someone who:
· Has good people management skills
· Has an eye for detail
· Has good IT skills and is confident using Microsoft 365 products such as Teams and SharePoint
· Is an effective communicator both verbally and in writing
You will need:
· A full UK driving license, held for at least 2 years
· Experience managing a small team of staff
· Experience in the Adult Social Care Industry, ideally in day services for adults with learning disabilities
You will come up with exciting and meaningful community engagement initiatives, work with external providers and create activities and sessions that make a real difference to the lives of the people we support.
About the role
You will be responsible for:
- Managing the safe and efficient running of your Hub
- Arranging transport and coordinating staff rotas
- Completing administration and compliance tasks, including Health & Safety checks, petty cash, risk assessments, staff supervisions and training records
- Ensuring support plans, running records and other essential documentation are completed accurately and on time
- Leading and supporting your team to deliver high-quality, person-centred care and support
- Working directly alongside clients and staff, providing hands-on support both within the Hub and in the community
- Ensuring safeguarding procedures are followed at all times and that any concerns are reported and acted upon appropriately
- Promoting a safe, inclusive and supportive environment for clients, staff and visitors
The job will involve driving our vehicles when necessary, so you must be confident and capable of driving a 9-seater minibus.
We are looking for someone with a ‘can do’ attitude, who is a positive thinker with great initiative skills.
