Where will you be working?
You'll be working across Rail, Aviation, Defence & Adjacent Markets. You'll visit major international airports, see our wide range of specialist rail engineering projects across the UK and be involved in the maintenance and upgrades of defence properties, airfields, military bases, ports, railway infrastructure and depots.

What will you be doing?
The Scheduling Coordinator is responsible for the effective coordination and scheduling of operational work across field based teams. The role ensures daily workloads are optimised, work is sequenced and routed efficiently, and stakeholders are kept informed where plans change.
Working as part of a scheduling function, the Scheduling Coordinator supports safe, compliant and efficient delivery of work orders, task orders or client appointments (terminology varies by division), helping to achieve contractual, regulatory and customer performance targets.
Schedule and coordinate daily work for field operatives across multiple workstreams, ensuring workloads are balanced, achievable, and compliant with safety and operational requirements.
Plan and prioritise work based on geography, skills, job type, resource availability, and business priorities.
Monitor progress throughout the day, responding to delays, changes, resource issues, and emergencies to minimise disruption and maintain performance targets.
Adjust schedules as required, reallocating work and assigning additional tasks to maximise resource utilisation.
Re-schedule, re-raise, or cancel incomplete work, ensuring all tasks are effectively managed and tracked to completion

Maintain accurate scheduling records through timely system updates, data cleansing, job completion confirmation, and clear operational notes.
Communicate scheduling updates and changes effectively with field teams, internal stakeholders, customers, and client representatives, managing expectations where required.
Respond promptly and professionally to scheduling-related telephone and email enquiries.
Produce accurate progress and whereabouts reports, highlighting risks, issues, and follow-up actions to support ongoing operational delivery.
What you’ll bring
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy when working at volume.
- Good IT literacy, with the ability to learn and use scheduling and operational systems.
- Clear communication skills and confidence working with a range of stakeholders.
- Ability to manage changing priorities in a fast paced environment.
- Proactive, solution focused approach to problem solving.
- Good standard of general education (for example, GCSEs or equivalent).
Desirable
- Previous experience in scheduling, planning, coordination or operational support.
- Experience working in a regulated or operational environment.
- Familiarity with routing, workload planning or resource coordination tools.
