We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Support Worker to join us at our flagship supported living service based in Islington. This part of the service project is based close to the main site that is home to 19 adults with moderate to complex learning disabilities and is managed by its leadership team, providing you with superb peer support and management expertise. The service you will be joining as a Senior Support Worker supports seven adults with mild learning disability and mental health needs who live independently in their own flats.
These crucial roles will assist with the management of the day-to-day running of the service, coordinating person-centred care for service users and overseeing the development and implementation of care plans designed to provide meaningful choice and increase independence and participation. Working in partnership with service-users and their families, you will be actively involved in planning and delivering a range of creative and social activities both on site and in the wider community. You will also be mentoring and providing support and supervision to a team of dedicated support staff.
Strong IT skills will enable you to support the Project Manager by taking on responsibilities such as rota planning, payroll and service planning. Experience of supporting people with complex needs and additional mental health needs would also be advantageous.
The 37 hour working week will be split over Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
