The Balinese House Restaurant is seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter (KP) to join our vibrant team in. This role is essential in maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of our kitchen, ensuring a smooth operation that supports our culinary staff. Responsibilities
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks under supervision, supporting chefs and kitchen staff.
- Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas, including washing dishes, utensils, pots, and pans efficiently.
- Ensure all kitchen equipment and surfaces are sanitised and organised according to health and safety standards.
- Support the storage of ingredients and supplies, ensuring proper labelling and organisation.
- Help with waste disposal and recycling processes to maintain a hygienic workspace.
- Assist with restocking supplies and ensuring the kitchen is prepared for service periods.
- Follow health and safety protocols diligently to uphold a safe working environment for all staff.
Requirements
- Previous experience in food preparation, cooking, or hospitality is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided.
- Knowledge of restaurant or hotel kitchen operations is beneficial.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Good organisational skills and a proactive attitude towards cleanliness and safety standards.
- Willingness to learn new skills related to culinary support roles.
