Work hard, play hard, and actually get paid for it. No degree required.
Lowen Talent is working with one of the fastest-growing education recruitment companies in the UK, a B Corp certified, employee-owned business currently enjoying a genuinely exciting period of growth. They work with schools, colleges and education providers nationwide, spanning primary, secondary, further education, higher education, SEN and support, independent schools and beyond, and they're now looking for their next Recruitment Consultant to join the team.
This is a career where your degree, or lack of one, has nothing to do with how far you go. What matters is what you've already proven: that you can work hard, deal with people, and get results. If you've spent the last couple of years grafting in hospitality, the forces, sales or customer service, you already have exactly what it takes to succeed here. From here on, your effort is the only thing standing between you and how much you earn.
It's also worth being upfront about how warm the desk is. Demand across the business is high and consistent, so you'll be working with a strong pipeline of existing client relationships and live vacancies from day one, not starting entirely from cold. That means a genuinely fast-paced environment where hard work translates into commission quickly, rather than months down the line.
And the environment itself matches the pace. You'll be working from brand new, modern offices, as part of a close-knit team that socialises properly outside of work, not just the occasional Friday drink. Top performers are rewarded with genuine incentive trips, think skiing getaways and days out at Ascot, alongside regular team socials throughout the year. Free on-site parking is also included, so no adding a stressful commute to an already full day.
Who they're looking for
Minimum 2 years' experience in hospitality, the forces, sales, customer service, or similar. No degree needed, and no industry background either. What matters is a work ethic that can't be taught and a hunger to earn what you're actually worth.
You'll fit in here if you:
- Are money motivated and not afraid to say so
- Have a naturally engaging, confident, likeable personality
- Know what it means to put in a genuine day's work
- Can handle rejection and keep picking up the phone anyway
- Are competitive and want to see where hard work can actually take you
- Can hold a conversation with anyone, from a headteacher to a newly qualified teacher
- Want a career with a real ceiling on it, not a job with a cap
- Are genuinely sociable and want to work somewhere that feels like a team, not just a workplace
What the role involves
- Full 360 recruitment, from business development through to candidate placement, with genuine ownership of your own desk
- Building relationships with schools and education clients, understanding their staffing needs and becoming their go-to point of contact
- Working an active pipeline of live roles and warm client relationships from day one
- Sourcing, screening and interviewing candidates for teaching and support staff roles
- Proactively developing new business through calls, meetings and networking
- Managing the process end to end, negotiating terms and managing expectations along the way
- Staying on top of a fast moving desk, juggling multiple roles and priorities at once
What's on offer
- £30,000 basic salary
- Uncapped commission structure, with genuine potential to earn quickly given the volume of live business
- Year 1 OTE: £45,000-£50,000
- Year 2 OTE: £60,000-£80,000
- Year 3 OTE: £80,000+
- Brand new offices and a close-knit, sociable team culture
- Incentive trips for top performers, including skiing and Ascot, plus regular team socials
- Free on-site parking
- Full training and support, no prior recruitment experience required
- A genuine path to management for those who want it
- A close-knit, values-led culture backed by B Corp accreditation and a track record of investing in its people
If you've got the drive, they'll teach you the rest.
If you've got at least 2 years' experience working hard for someone else, in hospitality, the forces, sales or customer service, and you're ready to work just as hard for a career that actually rewards it, get in touch. I'd love to talk you through the role.
