D&M Building Services is a growing contractor working across Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and Leicestershire on extensions, loft conversions, structural works, refurbishments and property development. We currently have multiple live projects and are looking for an Assistant Site Manager to work alongside our Construction Director across our live sites.
This is a hands-on site role, not an office job.
What you will be doing:
- Visiting live sites and reporting daily on progress, blockers and anything needing a decision
- Coordinating trades and subcontractors so the programme keeps moving, from groundworks through to finishes
- Chasing materials and deliveries so nothing holds a trade up
- Carrying out site inspections and keeping health, safety and site tidiness to standard
- Keeping site records up to date
- Taking on responsibility for running smaller projects as you establish yourself
What we are looking for:
- Solid site experience in residential or small commercial construction
- Experience directing trades and subcontractors on site
- Confident reading and working from drawings
- CSCS card
- Full UK driving licence. Our sites are spread across three counties, so this is essential
- Comfortable using a phone or tablet for site reporting
